Almond Oil: One Ingredient = Beautiful Skin

So here I am trying hard to eat real food and not a bunch of food chemicals. So what am I putting on my skin? Until last week, I was putting on a brand called Earth Science. It doesn't contain the bad chemicals and in fact it's probably one of the more green products on the market. But it still contains a ton of ingredients that I have no idea what they are. Here are the unknown ingredients. I have left out the known ingredients like water and Canola Oil:

Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-5, Dimethicone, Squalane, Soya Sterol, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Glyceryl Dilaurate, Potassium Sorbate, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Retinyl Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Xanthan Gum

I have now stripped my lotion down to one pure and recognizable ingredient: almond oil. I buy it in bulk and so no throwing away bottle after bottle. And, instead of separate nighttime face lotion, daytime face lotion, and a body lotion, I use almond oil for all three. It's so much less expensive and less complicated. I don't have to stare at all those bottles and choices. Looking at the ingredients makes me dizzy. I have heard that I can build on my almond oil by adding coconut butter and other natural ingredients, but I am sticking with one ingredient for now. Baby steps! My skin loves it!
