Marin is getting serious about waste

Starting January 1st, Marin will charge .05 for bags at all Marin grocery stores. I've got to start keeping bags in my car because I'm always at the store when I least expect it. I love how Rainbow Grocery always has a pile of used bags, crates, and boxes for customers who forgot their bags or need extra. Did San Francisco's bag fee pass this year?

Here's an interesting article in the Huffington Post about the decrease in waste since San Francisco banned plastic bags in 2007.
